Sundown Cruise

Sundown Cruisin'

Sundown Cruisin’

Softly blows the warm breeze
and the sails gently pop
the old captain with grey beard
has a smile that won’t stop
The soft sound of the keel
cutting smoothly through water
causes nerve endings to heal
forgetting things that don’t matter
On a thin little mat on a sailboat deck
Lady and I take a sundown cruise
The sun takes its time in a gradual set
the sky takes on a glowing hue
What wonderful thing memory can do
Take you back to best times to enjoy anew
